I know, seriously, I just read your pasta post and drooled. LOL
P.S. Badia a Coltibuono Extra Virgin Oil. It costs as much as a bottle of good wine but I only use it on my salads which no longer even need vinegar. It's that good. ;-)
he he he! I adore strong olive oil. I hear you. It can MAKE a dish. I keep my “fancy” oil for topping dishes and salads and then have a cheap bottle next to the stove for cooking.
"Imagine the grit and glory of Brooklyn streets pulsing between the covers of a poetry anthology." What a stunning, evocative line. I can imagine it...and it seems like peace. Thank you for sharing. I always have a big tender smile when I read your work.
Sue Ann, I dream that one day we can meet and eat delicious food together
Oh how I would love that, Kate! I could see us talking and breaking bread for hours. ;-)
I mean, the conversations we would have about olive oil alone...ha!

I was going to comment the exact same thing! I love how you write about the pleasure of eating Sue Ann.
"nothing speaks authenticity like pillowy homemade pasta and crispy calamari laced with fried artichoke hearts. Ask me about the olive oil." !!!
Ha, ha, thank you Kate. There were some very restrictive years in my history. I think I'm making up for lost time. *wink*
So so beautiful, Sue Ann. Thank you for tagging me here <3
Thank YOU for inspiring me. ;-)
I love it - everything you stopped to celebrate! What a rich, textured month.
Thank you for taking the time to read and respond, Maaike. It's exactly the nudge I need to get back to writing here. ;-)
We love having you back on the platform! :)
What a beautiful month of April! I loved reading your descriptive writing. Thanks for sharing the poem too.
Thank you for taking the time to comment, Barbara! ;-)

Ohhhhh, you are so kind @Kate, thank you. I know you know this place. The pulse. 💕
Great poem and reading recommendations. ;-)
There are more! Of course, there are more. LOL
Thank for reading, Jayne. ;-)
